Tedee pro doesn't open and lock the door at all (too much resistance)

I installed the Tedee Pro lock cylinder and it was protruding by about 7 mm (which does not comply with the instructions, where the maximum is 6 mm). After calibration, the lock would close, but it was unable to open. When using the key in the door, the lock works.

I then disassembled the cylinder and shortened it — now it protrudes by 4 mm (in accordance with the instructions), but the lock now has much greater resistance and does not open or close at all from the app.

What is the solution to this problem?

Edit: I found the cause — even though the latch and the door are brand new, the latch mechanism itself is stiff and the lock really struggles with it. It looks like replacing the latch will be necessary. Pretty disappointing. The developer installed some low-quality junk.

Edit2: Actually, after checking again, the lock stops turning before it encounters any resistance. Is something wrong with the lock?

Hi @kapitan47 , I’m sorry to hear about the issues with the lock. We will do our best to help you, but first we need to see how the lock on your door works. Could you please record a video showing how the locks/unlocks work on both closed and open doors, and send it to us at support@tedee.com?

My fault — I didn’t properly align the cylinder with the Tedee mechanism and the hollow-shaped part of the cylinder at the back of the knob.
