I’d like to use the install tedee go2 on outward opening doors. The informations are little bit misleading. So I’ve found that for tedego2 the distance between key axis, and door frame should be at least 40mm, on other side I’ve found information that this depends on other door size as well, and 35 mm would be good enough. I’d like to but it but my doors are outward opening, and the distance between key axis, and door frame is exactly 36mm. Will it fit ? Can I eventually mount it without lock plate cover ? will it help?
I think the first thing is to identify what type of lock cylinder you have. Is it a Euro cylinder, Scandinavian, or US type? (There may be others as well, but I know Tedee supports these.)
Once you identify the correct type and buy the right adapter, the next thing is the “tail,” which depends on the thickness of your door.
If you have a pair of pliers, the tail can be adjusted quite easily. There are instructions included inside the adapter package as well.
I just measured my Tedee Go 1 from the center of the lock cylinder to the outer edge of the smart lock, and it’s less than 33 mm.
So I think 35–40 mm clearance should probably be enough in practice.
