Following my request for scheduled Auto Unlock, I have a bug-bear and wondered if there’s a work around for my issue.
For context my door is handle-less so the Auto Unlock ‘opens’ my door, not just simply unlocks it.
when I enter my home zone and Auto Unlock starts I get notified (iPhone). If I don’t actually want to use that door I can long press the notification and tap cancel, this way the door doesn’t open when I walk past it to the other door.
However if I accidentally tap the notification instead of holding it, the Tedee app opens but then I’ve lost the option to cancel the Auto Unlock?
I then have to wait by that door for it to auto open and then close it again before heading to my other door.
Anyone know if I’m missing a ‘cancel auto unlock’ button in the app?
Hi. This is just a thought so I don’t even know if it will work
The door you pass is door A the door you continue on too is door B
For door A in advanced under Auto Unlock enable the confirmation option.
For door B enable the Cancel Other option.
My thinking is as you approach door A will ping the notification requesting confirmation, ignore this and continue on to door B as it Auto Unlock’s it will then cancel the Auto Unlock for door A?
I’ve never tested this I only have one door but it’s worth a try anyway?
If you also enable the cancel other option on door A should you ever chose to enter that door and you tap the confirmation notification it will cancel any Auto Unlock on door B.
not sure how close the doors are but that could also work?
