When wil Apple Homekey be support for Tedee Pro?

Hey,

Apple HomeKey requires an additional NFC reader (tedee PRO is mounted from the inside of the door), so it’s not just a matter of implementing the feature in the device. It would also require changes in the tedee PRO hardware. We plan to upgrade the lock but it’s too early to give any specific date.

Yes, an external NFC reader, which can be also in a form of a keypad.

Since the Tedee keypad already has NFC hardware capability, would it be possible to add Homeky support to the keypad via firmware updates? Is it something you are working on?

No it is not possible and we do not plan to do that.

so what’s the use case for the future NFC in keypad?

according to the keypad sales material it has NFC capabilities and they will be enabled in the future?
